

It took a couple trips to the ER and a trip to specialist. Things I used to eat all the time during our travels elsewhere in the world and even here before I left almost 10 years earlier made me ill. In the tree in back in the background, there is a more standard seed filled feeder. If you could follow the pole in the picture below to the top you would find a humming bird feeder. But it is beautiful outside… A lushness has returned to the trees and the green is overwhelming. Walking outside today it was as if you were breathing water, or rather choking on it. The air has been heavy lately with wet… Kind of crushing the way it lays on your chest. Stay safe guys and fight! Don’t ever give up. And aphids like to eat the tender new growth at the top of the tree. So there’s no way you could spray water to get rid of those pests. And the same goes for trying to use a ‘cide to eradicate them. However, hummingbirds can easily fly to the top of your tree. And they’ll eat up those aphids fast. Here’s an example of why letting hummingbirds eat your aphids is good… And, this is especially true when hummingbirds come to the rescue and eat your aphds.

But, rarely is aphid damage so bad that a plant doesn’t survive. Sure, they might look a little rough around the edges. In fact, the protein in these pest bugs is an important part of many birds’ diets.īut, most plants can bounce back from aphid damage. So leaving these pest insects in your garden can be a good thing.
